At the Science Festival, the Italian aerospace excellence in Europe and in the world
Closing event takes place in Genoa with the participation of the Defence Minister, Roberta Pinotti, and the “ambassador” of the European Semester, Major Luca Parmitano
On Sunday 2 November, starting from 6:00 P.M. the closing event of the Science Festival takes place in the Sala Maggiore del Consiglio at the Doge's Palace of Genoa.
Defence Minister, Roberta Pinotti, and Major Luca Parmitano, ESA astronaut, pilot for the Italian Air Force and “ambassador” of the six-month Italian Presidency of the Council of the EU, will take part in the final event of the 10-day Festival dedicated to advanced research and to researchers from emerging countries.
Since its first edition in 2003, the Festival has been enlivening the atmosphere of the capital of Liguria with debates, plays and exhibitions inspired by research and science. In such a contest, the importance of the cutting-edge technological field that is aerospace deserves special attention. The focus will be on the participation of the Italian astronaut who took part in the “Volare” mission and who is - as Minister Pinotti reiterated -“an example of the Italian talent and skills in Europe and in the world”.
