Swiss voters in a referendum on Sunday rejected an initiative to introduce what would have been the world's highest minimum wage (€18/hour). The proposed minimum wage was rejected by 76% of voters. Some 53% also blocked plans to replace the country's ageing fighter jet fleet with 22 Swedish Gripen jets.
