Ierse minister zal spreken op congres over cohesiebeleid EU (en)
Mr Brendan Howlin T.D., Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform will give the keynote address at the Border, Midland and Western and Southern and Eastern Regional Assemblies Joint Annual Conference to be held at the Royal Hospital Kilmainhan, Dublin on Wednesday 19th June 2013.
The conference takes place against the backdrop of Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union and the finalisation of the Structural Funds Regulations and EU budget for the 2014-2020 period.
It is widely recognised that Europe’s regions and cities have a vital role to play as the motors of smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. The conference will explore the contribution that EU Cohesion and Urban Policy can make to economic recovery in the years ahead and in particular, under the forthcoming 2014-2020 round of structural and investment funding.
The conference brings together key European, National and Regional speakers who will address the theme from their unique perspectives. Along with Minister Howlin other speakers at the conference will include Cllr. Dermot Lacey, Cathaoirleach, Southern & Eastern Regional Assembly; Cllr. This Conference is a major information activity as part of the Regional Assemblies’ obligations to promote the Regional Operational Programmes 2007-2013
