Intensive week of presentations by 20 Ministers kickstarts Presidency engagement with the European Parliament
A full week of intensive engagement with the European Parliament on the priorities of the Irish Presidency for the coming six months was concluded by Irish government ministers in Brussels today. 20 ministers, across 27 presentations to the European Parliament’s committees, informed and engaged in debates with Members of the European Parliament on a range of sectoral issues.
The European Parliament and its Committees are indispensable to a successful Presidency.
The European Parliament is a key partner on many significant files, and as Minister of State for European Affairs said in her presentation “the European Parliament and its Committees are indispensable" to a successful Presidency.
