Bulgaria has suspended €30 million in EU aid to the south-eastern town of Sliven over possible fraud in environmental and regional projects, a spokeswoman told AFP. "This is a preventive move from the Bulgarian government," she said. In 2008, the EU froze over €500 million to Bulgaria due to fraud.
