Kroatië weer een stap dichter bij toetreding EU (en)

Met dank overgenomen van Directoraat-generaal Uitbreiding (ELARG) i, gepubliceerd op maandag 6 juni 2011.

At the meeting of the Accession Conference with Croatia on 6 June in Brussels, chapter 'Fisheries' was provisionally closed. The Common Fisheries Policy is an important policy of the European Union, dealing with resource and fleet management, inspection and control, market policy and state aid control. After accession, Croatian fishermen will have access to the European Fisheries Funds (EFF) to support their income. This brings the total of closed chapters to 31 out of 35. Four chapters remain to be closed: 'Competition', 'Judiciary and Fundamendal Rights', 'Financial and Budgetary Provisions' and 'Other issues'.
