Catherine Ashton benoemt directeur voor Mondiale en Multilaterale Kwesties (en)

Catherine Ashton, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Commission Vice-President, today appointed Maria Marinaki as Managing Director for Global and Multilateral Issues in the European External Action Service.

"I am delighted to announce the appointment of Maria Marinaki as the Managing Director for Global and Multilateral Issues, which completes my team in the Corporate and Policy Board," said Catherine Ashton. "Maria is an experienced diplomat who will make an important contribution to our work on a wide range of issues, including human rights and non-proliferation."

Maria Marinaki is currently Permanent Representative of Greece to the OSCE in Vienna. She has a long experience in the Greek Foreign Ministry and has served in Washington, Berlin, Brussels and Vienna.
