Hongaars voorzitterschap zet in op afronding onderhandelingen met Kroatië (en)
There is a chance to close the accession talks with Croatia by the end of the Hungarian Presidency, said Eniko Gyori, Minister of State for EU Affairs, and Štefan Füle i, European Commissioner for Enlargement, in Brussels on 3 February 2011.
In the meeting Eniko Gyori and Štefan Füle agreed that the accession talks can only be closed if Croatia works hard and meets the requirements.
The representative of the Hungarian Presidency and that of the Commission concluded that Croatia is on the right way, but the process is still not closed, especially due to two well-known problems, the state of the justice reform and the issue of state subsidies in the competition chapter.
The Presidency and the Commission assured each other that they would regularly consult on the open enlargement affairs to keep the accession process with every candidate state going according to the procedures.
