Polish daily Rzeczpospolita reports, citing internal documents from the Polish prosecutor general, that Polish farmers filed 1,812 fraudulent claims for EU funds last year, compared to around 1,500 in 2010. Most cases involved farmers saying they own more land than they really do in order to get extra funding.
