It was opened by the representatives of the Slovenian governement, the European Commission and the Maribor municipality. Eva and Nika Prušnik, the singing and dancing Youth on the Move ambassadors for Slovenia, created a relaxed mood, followed by the local student rock band Štajbrnik. The best Erasmus i projects were awarded in a ceremony to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Erasmus programme.

The programme of the event, coinciding with the European Week of Youth in the European Capital of Culture, is running till Thursday. It is composed of dozens of debates around projects financed by the Lifelong Learning Programme and the Youth in Action Programme, as well as around experiences of young Slovenes having worked or studied abroad or participated in volunteering or youth exchanges. Results of number of cultural projects will be shown as well.
